To help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, we are told to stay in and socially distance ourselves from others. Restaurants, bars, gyms and non-essential businesses have closed down, leaving us with not much to do but stay inside all day.
Now that we have some more free time, it is beneficial to incorporate new habits into our daily life to help stay mentally relaxed and calm during this Pandemic.
Here are 10 things to incorporate into your stay-at-home routine:
Meditation
Meditation is one of the best ways to reset your body. It is scientifically proven to reduce stress, anxiety and unhealthy emotions.
I started meditating since the stress of the Coronavirus, and immediately saw benefits. A quick five-minute meditation session has improved my sleep.
I use Simple Habit, an app with a friendly mobile experience and great for beginners. Calm and HeadSpace are popular choices, too. There are also plenty of resources on YouTube.
Breathing exercises
The amount of times we’ve thought to ourselves after a sneeze or cough, “oh no, I think I have it,” cannot be counted.
