I am your average American Millennial with a full-time job, some hobbies and an Instagram account.

I use Instagram to connect with friends mostly. In my newsfeed is also content from: funny meme accounts, travel pages, and cooking accounts, as well as accounts from Influencers and celebrities.

Lately, my Instagram feed has become cluttered. I am seeing repeat memes, more ads and content from Influencers I haven’t met and cannot relate to.

In order to have a better Instagram experience, I Unfollowed some Influencers whose content was no longer relevant or meaningful to me. I have no hard feelings towards them.

Here are five reasons why I Unfollowed them.

Their content has changed

When The Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. broke up with the winner of the show, Becca Kufrin, he went back to runner-up Lauren Burnham.

This was shocking and confusing. I didn’t see them clicking as much. I couldn’t resonate with her, either.

Out of curiosity, I added Arie and Lauren on Instagram and watched their lives unfold for months. I saw them plan their wedding, decorate a new home and lounge in their pajamas on Friday nights.
